Politicians are using antisemitism as a tool to mobilize extremism for their own political power. And they are raising political donations by pandering to extremists on alternative social media platforms like Gab, which is favored by neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and supporters of the antisemitic QAnon conspiracy movement.
Israel is under fire. More than 4,000 rockets have been launched indiscriminately towards Israeli cities and towns. Fired from Gaza by Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups, these rockets have caused multiple fatalities and injuries. Israel has the right to defend itself and its citizens.
The Jewish community and the country as a whole are consistently and directly threatened by easy access to assault weapons. Gun violence ravages our communities and undermines the sense of personal security that all Americans deserve. Congress should pass smart legislation to combat the gun violence epidemic now.
QAnon is a hate-based and dangerous conspiracy theory that peddles antisemitic tropes and led to the violent January 6th insurrection. Amazon must immediately stop selling QAnon merchandise.
