As Jewish American Heritage Month continues, the A As Jewish American Heritage Month continues, the American Jewish Congress is deeply alarmed by increasing antisemitic incidents around the world. Mississippi. Michigan. London. Brisbane. Sydney. Amsterdam. Toronto. Just a few of the places Jewish communities have faced violent attacks in the last 6 months. 🇬🇧 10 violent incidents in London in just 6 weeks. 🇺🇸 Graffiti in Queens and Brooklyn, and a violent protest outside Park East Synagogue in Manhattan. 🎓 Jewish groups are being targeted for exclusion on American campuses. 🚨 A month meant to honor the generations of Jewish Americans who helped build the United States should not begin with Jewish communities confronting hate on their own streets. 📢 We are combating this directly with our leaders, our communities, and people of conscience who refuse to let antisemitism become normalized. That is why we are asking 180 people to join our grassroots challenge over the next week to give $180, and 180 people more to commit this week to $18 monthly, helping power the fight for Jewish safety, advocacy, and unapologetic action. Jewish New Yorkers, Londoners, and Jews everywhere deserve to live openly, proudly, and safely. Safe cities and communities mean not only celebrating Jewish American heritage, but protecting it. 💪🏽 This month, we honor Jewish history by defending the Jewish present. Much more to come.
