Hamas’s sexual assault on women on October 7 demands clear and firm condemnation without equivocation. However, many international leaders and institutions have failed this humanity test, most notably the United Nations. Despite the proof and testimonies of Hamas’s intentional widespread sexual violence, including rape and mutilation, as a weapon of war against women in Israel, it took UN Women almost two months to speak out against these atrocities. This is unacceptable and demonstrates clear double standards towards Jewish women and the Jewish state.
In light of these facts, U.S. Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Jacky Rosen (D-NV), Joni Ernst (R-IA), Susan Collins (R-ME), and Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Ben Cardin (D-MD) led a bipartisan group of 28 colleagues in a letter condemning the inaction of the United Nations (UN). Moreover, they are asking for an independent investigation to hold perpetrators accountable, support survivors, and provide justice for victims. We are joining them on this call today.
Sign our petition now and request from the United Nations to immediately and unequivocally denounce Hamas’s atrocities against Israeli women.
