New York, NY — Nearly 11,000 people have signed a letter sent today by the American Jewish Congress urging Princeton University to cancel a course that describes Gaza as an “ongoing genocide” and compares it to the Holocaust.
The course, titled “Gender, Reproduction, and Genocide,” falsely equates Israel with history’s worst crimes and distorts genocide studies to demonize the Jewish state and the Jewish people.
The course is taught by a professor who has publicly denied Hamas atrocities following the October 7 terrorist massacre and has called for the abolition of Zionism, the Jewish people’s self-determination movement. Elevating such views in the classroom risks undermining historical integrity and contributing to a hostile climate for Jewish students.
The rapid growth of the petition reflects widespread concern about the direction of higher education and the misuse of academic platforms.
The American Jewish Congress is calling on Princeton to cancel the course and reaffirm its commitment to academic rigor and student safety.
