Michael Braun was born in 1954 and is currently serving as the junior United States Senator from Indiana. Senator Braun was elected in 2018 and his seat will be up for election in 2024.
Before Braun’s victory in the 2018 Senate election, he was the founder and CEO of Meyer Distributing. Throughout the years, Mike also served as a member of the local School Board and as a member of the Indiana House of Representative from 2014 until 2017.
Senator Braun is currently serving on the Aging Committee; the Agriculture Committee; the Budget Committee; the Environment & Public Works (EPW) Committee; and the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee.

Senator Braun has opposed the Iran nuclear deal. In 2019, he voted for the Strengthening America’s Middle East Security Act which, among other things, strengthened Israel’s security and allowed a state or local government to adopt measures to divest its assets from entities that boycott Israel.
Senator Braun has cosponsored a resolution that opposes the global Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement and the delegitimization of Israel.
