Andy Kim, born in 1982, is currently serving as the junior United States Senator from New Jersey.
Kim made history in 2024 by becoming the first Korean-American elected to the U.S. Senate, representing New Jersey. Prior to his Senate tenure, he served three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives for New Jersey’s 3rd congressional district.
Kim is a Rhodes Scholar and a former national security advisor under President Obama. In the Senate, Kim serves on the Foreign Relations Committee, the Armed Services Committee, and the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.

Senator Kim has expressed support for Israel’s right to exist and advocates for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In a statement regarding a ceasefire and hostage release deal between Israel and Hamas, he emphasized the importance of diplomacy and the protection of civilians.
