Cory Gardner was born in 1974 and is currently serving as the junior United States Senator for Colorado. Senator Gardner is running for re-election in 2020.
Gardner served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Colorado’s 4th Congressional District from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, he served as General Counsel and Legislative Director for former U.S. Senator Wayne Allard of Colorado from 2002 to 2005. In 2005 he was appointed to serve in the Colorado House of Representatives and was elected for a full term in 2006.
Senator Gardner is currently serving on the Energy & Natural Resource Committee; the Foreign Relations Committee; and the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.

Senator Gardner opposed the Iran nuclear deal and has supported legislation, such as the Israel Anti-Boycott Act, that fight discriminatory boycotts of Israel. He has cosponsored legislation that object UN Security Council Resolution 2334, which claims that Israel’s settlements have no legal validity.
Senator Gardner cosponsored the United States-Israel Security Assistance Authorization Act, a legislation that supported full funding of security assistance to Israel as outlined in the 2016 U.S.-Israel Memorandum of Understanding. In 2019, he voted for the Strengthening America’s Middle East Security Act which, among other things, strengthened Israel’s security and allowed a state or local government to adopt measures to divest its assets from entities that boycott Israel.
