Crane has served since 2023 and is running for reelection in 2026. He was among a small group of right flank Republicans who repeatedly voted against bipartisan pro-Israel legislation, Holocaust education, and antisemitism legislation. A review found that Crane opposed five of seven such measures in the previous Congress.

Positions on Israel and votes on aid
Crane speaks of Israel in supportive terms, however he voted against standalone Israel aid bill in February 2024 and the larger supplemental funding in April 2024, at the height of Israel’s multi-front war with Hamas and other terror proxies.
Opposition to antisemitism and Holocaust education measures
Crane opposed three bipartisan measures aimed at combating antisemitism and preserving Holocaust memory. He voted against the Antisemitism Awareness Act in May 2024, which would apply the IHRA working definition of antisemitism to federal education enforcement. He voted against a resolution condemning antisemitism and endorsing the State Department's global guidelines for combating it, and he voted against extending federal Holocaust education programming under the Never Again Education Act.
