NEW YORK – Today, American Jewish Congress (AJCongress) President Jack Rosen issued the following statement on the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio:

“On behalf of the American Jewish Congress, I want to salute all the American and Israeli athletes competing in the Summer Olympic games. We are so proud to watch these two nation’s athletes compete on the highest level. We would especially like to congratulate Israeli judoka Yarden Gerbi, who is part of Israel’s largest Olympic delegation ever, and earned her country’s first medal since 2008. The Olympic Games represent the potential of the positive things that can happen when the world unites through a spirited forum of celebration and competition.”
