NEW YORK—In response to the formal nominations of the Democratic and Republican candidates for President of the United States, American Jewish Congress (AJCongress) President Jack Rosen today issued a statement expressing the organization’s goals on several key foreign policy issues:

“The American Jewish Congress looks forward to working with the next administration to promote the policies for which we stand—fighting and defeating the BDS movement, preventing a nuclear Iran, achieving a two-state solution for Israel and the Palestinians, combating domestic and global anti-Semitism, and strengthening the unwavering bond between the United States and Israel.

“We believe that international relationships are one of the critical issues before the next American president, and that the public deserves to hear a full and detailed dialogue by the GOP and Democratic candidates during the course of the campaign.

“AJCongress is dedicated to working together with the next president and Congress to advance the national security goals of the nation. We work with government and international officials as well as the Jewish communities in the U.S., Israel, and around the world to advocate for policies that can fulfill that objective.

“We hope these issues, and the wider range of international problems we face, will be the topic of much discussion in the months ahead. The American people deserve a full airing of how the next president will use all the elements at our disposal—diplomatic, political, economic and otherwise—to combat the threats facing the U.S. and how our leaders will advance our interests.”
