Shana Tova U’Metuka to all celebrating Jewish New Year 5785 today. This is a brief update on the Middle East situation and Israel’s war of self-defense.
ISRAEL’S ACTION FORCES LEBANON TO CONFRONT HEZBOLLAH. For the first time, there is a growing public support now in Lebanon for two key demands that have also been raised by Israel. One is a ceasefire on the Lebanese border even if there is no ceasefire in Gaza. Secondly, that the Lebanese army takes control of the country from the Hezbollah terror group and disarm the militia.
Lebanese Army Begins Deployment. For the first time, Lebanon’s military moved to take control of movement on a northern border checkpoint with Syria that Hezbollah used to smuggle supplies sent by Iran. The Lebanese military was quick to release footage of its soldiers inspecting incoming trucks after the Israeli military publicly requested Lebanese government and military to block Hezbollah’s smuggling.
Lebanese Politicians Consider Removing Pro-Iran Government. Lebanon has a pro-Iran interim government formed by Hezbollah, which prevented a political process so that Lebanon could form its own government. This is huge for anyone who knows Lebanon, and this development forced a top Lebanese columnist to call this change “a turning point in Lebanon.”
Change In Lebanon. Thanks To Israel. Hezbollah controlled Lebanon’s state and politics for three decades. This is changing after careful and measured Israeli strikes on eliminated Hezbollah leadership. We are not there yet but the die has been cast.

JUSTICE SERVED. Most of the latest Israeli self-defense operations centered on serving justice on terror elements in Lebanon responsible for killing not only Israelis but also “hundreds of Americans,” according to President Biden.
Justice For 12 Arab Israeli Children killed in a Hezbollah missile attack on Israel in July was served today. The Israeli military announced on Thursday it eliminated the Hezbollah terrorist behind the firing of a rocket that killed 12 children in the Druze town of Majdal Shams in northern Israel in July.
Hezbollah Chief’s Son In Law Neutralized In Syria. Nasrallah was eliminated in Beirut this week, and his son-in-law was taken out in a precision strike that only hit an apartment in an upscale suburb of Syrian capital, Damascus, alongside his escorts from Hezbollah and Iran [see his photo].
Head of Gaza Local Administration and his assistants for internal security and intelligence were eliminated three months ago but this was confirmed only this week when the Israeli military received verified and definitive information [see Israeli military’s announcement and the photos of the three terrorists].

HOW HAMAS PROLONGS WAR? BY ATTACKING AN ISRAELI TRAIN STATION. As Iran showered missiles on Israel, Hamas sent two terrorists to shoot civilians at a train station in Jaffa, killing many innocent civilians. One of them is Inbar Segev, 33, a fitness instructor who shielded her 9-months-old son in a baby stroller and died keeping him alive. The baby is now safe with his father [see Inbar’s image below]. Not only does this not serve Palestinian aspirations, but Hamas commanders also continue to hide in Gaza and recruit teenagers or young Palestinians from the West Bank to go kill civilians in Israel.

ISRAEL RECEIVES ROBUST SUPPORT FROM ALLIES & PARTNERS after Iran’s missile attack this week.
America’s UN Envoy Destroys Iran’s Legal Case. During this week’s UNSC debate on Lebanon, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield suggested that Iran could not invoke the right to self-defense “to avenge the deaths of two IRGC-supported terrorist leaders” by attacking another UN member state, Israel. She called for sanctions on the IRGC, Iran’s paramilitary responsible for conducting proxy wars.
Powerful Statements Of Support For Israel. President Biden rallied member states of the G7 to condemn Iran, VP Harris criticized Iran as a “dangerous, destabilizing force” and reiterated commitment to Israel’s security, and so did Republicans and Democrats, and the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and others. South Korea’s UN envoy named the Hamas terror group as responsible for the situation today because it started the war.
